Texas Armadillo Tire Cover
The armadillo is the state’s small mammal of Texas. Armadillos are common across most of Texas and are considered a pest or nuisance in many residential areas because of how much they burrow and forage. They are known to destroy lawns, gardens, or flower beds in their search for food or shelter. Armadillos have a protective armor-like shell that is an excellent defense against predators. Even though these animals have nine-banded in their names, they can have anywhere from 7 to 11 bands.
Armadillos are also known for carrying Hansen’s Disease — more commonly known as leprosy — and have transmitted it to people in Texas and Florida. Armadillos can also carry rabies, salmonella, and tapeworms.

Fun Facts
Armadillos have poor vision. They are good swimmers and can even hold their breath for up to six minutes. Armadillos have delayed implantation; after mating in July, the fertilized egg remains dormant until November. This single egg then divides into genetically identical quadruplets born four months later. The kits are born fully developed, and it will take several weeks for their pink leathery skin to be ossified into armor.

Once the item has been returned and inspected, we only replace items if they are defective or damaged. There will be no charge for an exchange of an item of the same size and color.
